New Frontpage is Actually Old Frontpage

Over the weekend the frontpage for CommunityWalk.com changed suddenly to show just a textbox with a "Enter your address" message. This was not the new front page. This was actually a very old front page for the old demo application.

A small technical issue caused the www.communitywalk.com to point to the old demo application, creating this confusing situation. This technical problem has bee fixed and the current application is now running again with the curren frontpage. I apologize for the inconvenience this caused anyone and I have been assured that it will never happen again.

The new frontpage is on the way and it will be a much better change. The more I use it the more excited I get about delivering it to the great community that has grown around CommunityWalk.

I've said it before, but it is worth repeating: There are going to be some very exciting things happening with CommunityWalk in 2006. I can feel it!

The Finish Line Is Drawing Near

The team and I are putting the finishing touches on the site redesign. It looks very slick and provides some long overdue functionality. I really can't wait to release it. I was hoping to get it out before the Christmas, but it looks like it is going to take another couple of days at least. Still it is very close.

In fact I predict that the first part of 2006 is going to be huge for CommunityWalk. I can't talk too much about it, but I think there are going to be some very big announcements in January 2006.

So here's to the new year!

An Update

So, if you pay close attention to the CommunityWalk project you may have noticed that it has been a little quiet recently. This is actually due to some very good things happening, including getting CommunityWalk incorporated and getting some help on it. So this is really just the quiet before the storm. We're kicking the tires, filling up the tank, and getting to roll on some great stuff for CommunityWalk. It won't be long now...

Stay tuned!

I Am Buying A Mac

I was finally able to get the problem that was causing CommunityWalk to break on the Mac fixed, but only by disabling the "Where" functionality. Unfortunately I still do not have access to a Mac to really fix the problem. The good news is that I am going to buy a Mac to make sure this never happens again. I am also very interested in learning more about the advantages of OS X and other Apple goodies...
