Large Infrastructural Release

I just pushed out a large infrastructural release to CommunityWalk. This one has fewer visible changes, but it has a lot of changes under the hood. There were a few tweaks to the map page (including adding the reset button, making the logo more prominent, and changing "What", and "Where" to "Legend" and "Map Overview. There were also some changes to better fascilitate future commercial versions of the map, but, in general, most of the changes will not be visible. Hopefully, though, you will find a better performing site.

If you find any bugs or have any feedback please let me know. This was a huge restructuring effort so it is definitely possible that we broke something along the way.

  • Hi... Thanks for the update. CommunityWalk promises to be a very useful tool.

Regarding your update, it seems that sometimes maps aren't loading up in Firefox 1.5 and Safari 1.3.2
Once I click on my map, all I see is Loading ... on the right side of the screen.

  • Anonymous,

Is this happening on a specific map? We use Firefox 1.5 for development and testing and it is loading for us fine.

  • Anonymous,

I've now seen this issue myself. The problem is that the browser caches some of the javascript. This should fix itself soon, but, if it does not, then you can simply hit the refresh button to get access to the most recent javascript files.

Sorry about the somewhat technical post. Hope that helps.
